Panasonic has unveiled the specifications of an ultra-thin, high-performance digital camera: the Lumix ZS20
Panasonic has unveiled a new model stand out from the competition. The digital camera Lumix ZS20 is presented by the manufacturer as "the world's thinnest 20x optical zoom with a". It actually has a thickness of only 2.8cm!
The Lumix ZS20 is the same with a new low-light optimized CMOS sensor (useful in low light). It is a 14 megapixel CMOS sensor. The optical zoom of the camera allows you to vary the focal length between 24mm to 480mm.
Panasonic said in a press release that Venus, the new engine image processing, provides greater image sharpness and reduce noise. A faster AF system (up to 120-frames-per-second) is finally locking on objects within a tenth of a second! If the touch screens controls, and GPS geotagging, we add the Lumix ZS20 then seems very complete.
Finally, the Lumix ZS20 can capture 1080p AVCHD video at 60 frames / second, or MP4 1080p at 30 frames/second.
The device will be sold $350 (about 265 euros) in March 2012.
